Extensions of profinite duality groups
Alexander Schmidt, Kay Wingberg

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that the class of profinite duality groups remains closed under group extensions if the kernel meets certain finiteness criteria, extending previous results in the field.
Contribution
It extends earlier work by showing closure properties of profinite duality groups under group extensions with specific kernel conditions.
Findings
Profinite duality groups are closed under extensions with finite kernel.
The result generalizes previous theorems by Pletch and Wingberg.
Provides new conditions under which duality properties are preserved.
Abstract
We show that the class of profinite duality groups is closed under group extensions provided that the kernel satisfies some finiteness condition. This extends earlier results of Pletch and of Wingberg.
