Electric dipole rovibrational transitions in HD molecule
Krzysztof Pachucki, Jacek Komasa

TL;DR
This paper derives a precise formula for electric dipole rovibrational transition rates in HD molecules, improving accuracy over previous methods and aligning well with experimental data.
Contribution
It introduces a rigorous formula for transition rates based on the electric dipole moment function, enhancing accuracy in molecular transition calculations.
Findings
Transition rates are at least ten times more accurate than previous calculations.
Numerical results show moderate agreement with experimental data.
The formula applies over a wide range of internuclear distances R.
Abstract
The rovibrational electric dipole transitions in the ground electronic state of the HD molecule are studied. A simple, yet rigorous formula is derived for the transition rates in terms of the electric dipole moment function , which is calculated in a wide range of . Our numerical results for transition rates are in moderate agreement with experiments and previous calculations, but are at least an order of magnitude more accurate.
