TL;DR
This paper develops a formalism for analyzing meson photoproduction off deuterons, applies it to $ta$ and $$ mesons, and discusses the nature of a dip-bump structure in the cross section around 1670 MeV.
Contribution
It introduces a new partial wave analysis formalism for meson photoproduction off deuterons and provides insights into the structure of the cross section and helicity amplitudes.
Findings
Interpretations of the dip-bump structure are presented and discussed.
Helicity amplitudes for two low-mass $S_{11}$ states are determined.
The formalism aids in understanding meson photoproduction mechanisms.
Abstract
A formalism is developed for the partial wave analysis of data on meson photoproduction off deuterons and applied to photoproduction of and mesons. Different interpretations of a dip-bump structure of the photoproduction cross section in the 1670 MeV region are presented and discussed. Helicity amplitudes for two low-mass states are determined.
