Relic density in SO(10) SUSY GUT models
Katri Huitu, Jari Laamanen

TL;DR
This paper investigates how non-universal gaugino masses in SO(10) SUSY GUT models affect the neutralino composition and relic density, aligning with WMAP dark matter observations.
Contribution
It analyzes the impact of non-universal gaugino masses from SO(10) representations on neutralino relic density in SUSY GUT models.
Findings
Relic density compatible with WMAP observed in certain non-universal scenarios.
Neutralino composition varies with different SO(10) gaugino mass representations.
Non-universal boundary conditions can produce viable dark matter candidates.
Abstract
Non-universal boundary conditions in grand unified theories can lead to non-universal gaugino masses at the unification scale. In R-parity preserving theories the lightest supersymmetric particle is a natural candidate for the dark matter. In this talk the composition of the lightest neutralino is studied, when nonuniversal gaugino masses come from representations of SO(10). In these cases, the thermal relic density compatible with WMAP observations is found.
