Contribution
This paper reports on the current status and features of Herwig++, highlighting its advancements over HERWIG and outlining future development plans.
Findings
Herwig++ provides superior LHC event generation compared to HERWIG.
The current version 2.2.1 includes new features and improvements.
Ongoing work aims to further enhance the generator's capabilities.
Abstract
Herwig++ is the successor of the event generator HERWIG. In its present version 2.2.1 it provides a program for full LHC event generation which is superior to the previous program in many respects. We briefly summarize its features and describe present work and some future plans.
