M.C. Bento, R. Gonzalez Felipe, N.M.C. Santos

TL;DR
This paper investigates a simple quintessential inflation model with a modified exponential potential within the braneworld framework, analyzing conditions for transient and permanent cosmic acceleration and constraining model parameters.
Contribution
It introduces a novel quintessence inflation model with a specific potential and explores its acceleration behavior and parameter constraints in the braneworld context.
Findings
Transient acceleration occurs within specific parameter ranges.
Permanent acceleration is achievable under different parameter conditions.
The steepness parameter α is constrained between 5.3 and 10.8.
Abstract
A simple model of quintessential inflation with the modified exponential potential is analyzed in the braneworld context. Considering reheating via instant preheating, we conclude that the model exhibits transient acceleration at late times for and , while permanent acceleration is obtained for and . The steep parameter is constrained to be in the range .
