Thin-shell wormholes in Brans-Dicke gravity
Ernesto F. Eiroa, Martin G. Richarte, Claudio Simeone

TL;DR
This paper constructs spherically symmetric thin-shell wormholes in Brans-Dicke gravity, demonstrating that with suitable parameters, these wormholes can be supported by matter that satisfies the energy conditions.
Contribution
It introduces a method to build thin-shell wormholes in Brans-Dicke gravity where matter obeys energy conditions, unlike in general relativity.
Findings
Wormholes can be supported by matter satisfying energy conditions in Brans-Dicke gravity.
The construction depends on the Brans-Dicke parameter values.
Supports the viability of wormholes without exotic matter in alternative gravity theories.
Abstract
Spherically symmetric thin-shell wormholes are constructed within the framework of Brans-Dicke gravity. It is shown that, for appropriate values of the Brans-Dicke constant, these wormholes can be supported by matter satisfying the energy conditions.
