Strong decays $\Sigma^{*} \to\Sigma\pi,\Lambda \pi$ and related strong coupling constant
Zhi-Gang Wang

TL;DR
This paper calculates the strong coupling constant among certain baryons and mesons using light-cone QCD sum rules, analyzing the decay processes of $ ext{Sigma}^*$ baryons with a focus on SU(3) symmetry breaking effects.
Contribution
The study applies heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory combined with light-cone QCD sum rules to evaluate strong decay constants and analyze SU(3) breaking effects in baryon decays.
Findings
The calculated coupling constant $g$ aligns with previous results.
SU(3) breaking effects are small, less than 6%.
Large uncertainties prevent definitive conclusions.
Abstract
In this article, we calculate the strong coupling constant among the decuplet baryons, the octet baryons and the pseudoscalar mesons in the heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory with the light-cone QCD sum rules, and study the strong decays . The numerical value of the strong coupling constant is consistent with our previous calculation, the central values lead to small SU(3) breaking effects, less than 6%; and no definitive conclusion can be drawn due to the large uncertainties.
