Dov Gabbay (LIF), Karl Schlechta (LIF)

TL;DR
This paper introduces a new formal framework combining A-ranked preferential structures with accessibility relations to model and analyze contrary to duty obligations.
Contribution
It presents a novel formal model for hierarchical consequence and conditionals, with proven representation results.
Findings
Formalizes contrary to duty obligations
Develops A-ranked preferential structures with accessibility
Provides representation theorems for the framework
