Seiberg Duality in Chern-Simons Theories with Fundamental and Adjoint Matter
Vasilis Niarchos

TL;DR
This paper investigates Seiberg duality in three-dimensional N=2 supersymmetric Chern-Simons theories with fundamental and adjoint matter, using string theory brane setups to support the duality conjecture.
Contribution
It proposes a Seiberg duality for Chern-Simons theories with superpotentials, extending duality concepts to new matter content and interactions in three dimensions.
Findings
Duality relates theories with different gauge groups and matter content.
String theory brane configurations support the duality proposal.
The work includes theories with non-trivial superpotentials.
Abstract
We explore the dynamics of three-dimensional Chern-Simons gauge theories with N=2 supersymmetry and matter in the fundamental and adjoint representations of the gauge group. Realizing the gauge theories of interest in a setup of threebranes and fivebranes in type IIB string theory we argue for a Seiberg duality that relates Chern-Simons theories with non-trivial superpotentials.
