Searching for odderon in exclusive vector meson hadroproduction
L. Motyka

TL;DR
This paper estimates the odderon contribution to exclusive vector meson production at Tevatron and LHC, compares it to photon-mediated backgrounds, and proposes experimental cuts to enhance odderon detection.
Contribution
It provides the first estimates of odderon effects in exclusive J/psi and Upsilon production and suggests methods to distinguish odderon signals from backgrounds.
Findings
Odderon contributions are comparable to photon backgrounds.
Proposed cuts can significantly reduce photon background.
Estimated cross-sections inform future experimental searches.
Abstract
In this talk estimates are presented of the odderon contributions to the exclusive J/psi and Upsilon production cross-sections at the Tevatron and the Large Hadron Collider. The obtained cross-sections are compared to cross-sections of the dominant background subprocesses mediated by the photon exchange. Possible experimental cuts are proposed that reduce the photon background.
