TL;DR
This paper defends the authors' previous work on rooted staggered QCD against criticisms, clarifying misunderstandings and reaffirming the validity of their approach in lattice QCD research.
Contribution
The authors provide a detailed rebuttal to Creutz's criticisms, clarifying misconceptions about 't Hooft vertices and rooted staggered QCD.
Findings
Creutz's criticisms are incorrect and based on misunderstandings
The authors clarify the validity of their approach in lattice QCD
Reaffirmation of the theoretical consistency of rooted staggered QCD
Abstract
We reply to Creutz's comments on our paper " 't Hooft vertices, partial quenching, and rooted staggered QCD." We show that his criticisms are incorrect and result from a misunderstanding both of our work, and of the related work of Adams.
