Regularisation as a quantised low-pass filter
L I Plimak

TL;DR
This paper presents a divergence-free regularisation method for relativistic quantum electrodynamics that is mathematically equivalent to traditional Feynman-Dyson renormalisation, offering a potentially novel perspective on quantum field theory.
Contribution
It introduces a divergence-free regularisation approach that aligns exactly with established renormalisation techniques in quantum electrodynamics.
Findings
The approach is mathematically equivalent to Feynman-Dyson renormalisation.
Provides a divergence-free framework for relativistic quantum electrodynamics.
Potentially simplifies calculations by avoiding divergences.
Abstract
A divergence-free approach to relativistic quantum electrodynamics based on regularisation of equations of quantum mechanics is discussed. This approach is shown to be exactly equivalent to the conventional Feynman-Dyson renormalisation techniques.
