Metastable superpositions of ortho- and para-Helium states
Pedro Sancho, Luis Plaja

TL;DR
This paper investigates superpositions of ortho- and para-Helium states, focusing on their potential as metastable states that could be observed experimentally, expanding understanding of helium's quantum states.
Contribution
It introduces the concept of metastable superpositions of ortho- and para-Helium states and discusses their experimental accessibility.
Findings
Metastable superpositions of 1s2s ortho and para states are potentially observable.
Stationary superpositions may exist in the Helium system.
The analysis suggests new avenues for experimental investigation.
Abstract
We analyze superpositions of ortho- and para-Helium states, considering the possible existence of stationary and metastable states in the system. In particular, the metastable superposition of 1s2s ortho and para states seems to be accessible to experimental scrutiny.
