Photonic Time Stretch Enhanced Recording Scope
Shalabh Gupta, Bahram Jalali

TL;DR
This paper introduces a novel mode for the Time Stretched A/D converter that enables capturing non-periodic, clustered noise events more effectively than traditional sampling scopes.
Contribution
It presents a new operational mode for photonic time stretch technology, enhancing the ability to record non-periodic signals.
Findings
Successfully captures non-periodic, clustered noise events
Outperforms traditional sampling scopes in specific applications
Demonstrates improved temporal resolution
Abstract
We demonstrate a new mode of operation for the Time Stretched A/D converter. The technique is superior to the sampling scope in that it permits the capture of non periodic events such as clustered noise.
