A note on the primordial abundance of stau NLSPs
Michael Ratz, Kai Schmidt-Hoberg, Martin Wolfgang Winkler

TL;DR
This paper explores how significant left-right mixing in stau particles can help evade Big Bang Nucleosynthesis constraints on their abundance in gravitino LSP scenarios.
Contribution
It demonstrates that substantial left-right mixing in stau NLSPs can relax BBN constraints even for long-lived particles, a novel insight in supersymmetric cosmology.
Findings
Left-right mixing reduces BBN constraints on stau abundance.
Long-lived staus can be compatible with cosmological bounds.
New parameter space for supersymmetric models with gravitino LSP.
Abstract
In scenarios with a gravitino LSP, there exist strong BBN constraints on the abundance of a possible stau NLSP. We find that in settings with substantial left-right mixing of the stau mass eigenstates these constraints can be evaded even for very long-lived staus.
