Elliptic flow fluctuations and correlations in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=200$ GeV
Paul Sorensen (for the STAR Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper analyzes elliptic flow, its fluctuations, and correlations in gold-gold collisions at 200 GeV, comparing experimental results with models of initial eccentricity fluctuations.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed comparison of elliptic flow fluctuations with models of initial eccentricity in high-energy heavy-ion collisions.
Findings
Elliptic flow fluctuations are consistent with initial eccentricity models.
Non-flow effects are quantified and distinguished from flow fluctuations.
Results support the hydrodynamic description of the quark-gluon plasma.
Abstract
In this talk, we report an analysis of elliptic flow (), non-flow (), and fluctuations () for the STAR collaboration at middle rapidity in GeV Au+Au collisions. We compare the results to models of the fluctuations in the initial eccentricity of the overlap zone.
