TL;DR
This paper introduces a family of entanglement distribution protocols assisted by feedback, providing an operational interpretation of reverse coherent information and defining a new capacity that surpasses unassisted methods for certain channels.
Contribution
It defines reverse coherent information and its associated capacity, expanding understanding of entanglement distribution with feedback assistance.
Findings
Reverse coherent information has an operational interpretation.
A new entanglement distribution capacity exceeds unassisted capacity for some channels.
Feedback-assisted protocols enhance entanglement distribution efficiency.
Abstract
In this letter we define a family of entanglement distribution protocols assisted by feedback classical communication that gives an operational interpretation to reverse coherent information, i.e., the symmetric counterpart of the well known coherent information. This lead to the definition of a new entanglement distribution capacity that exceeds the unassisted capacity for some interesting channels.
