Anastasya Korshunova

TL;DR
This paper derives exact solutions to the 3D compressible Navier-Stokes equations incorporating Coriolis and friction effects, identifying initial conditions that lead to finite-time singularities.
Contribution
It provides explicit solutions and conditions for finite-time gradient catastrophe in the presence of Coriolis and friction terms, advancing understanding of complex fluid dynamics.
Findings
Explicit solutions with Coriolis and friction terms
Initial data leading to finite-time singularities
Insights into fluid behavior under rotational and frictional forces
Abstract
We consider special solution to the 3D compressible Navier-Stokes system with and without the Coriolis force and dry friction and find the respective initial data implying a finite time gradient catastrophe.
