Production of $(\tau^+\tau^-)_b$ in electron positron collisions
A.A. Malik, I.S. Satsunkevich

TL;DR
This paper calculates the energy levels, decay widths, and production cross sections of tau lepton-antilepton bound states in electron-positron collisions, estimating their potential production rates at specific colliders.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed theoretical predictions for the properties and production rates of tauonium, a hydrogen-like tau lepton bound state, in electron-positron annihilation.
Findings
Estimated 886 tauonium atoms at BEPCII.
Estimated 29 tauonium atoms at VEPP-4M.
Calculated decay widths and energy levels of tauonium.
Abstract
is an atom of simple hydrogenlike structure similar to positronium and . In this paper energy levels and decay widths of different decay channels of are given. Cross section of production of this atomic system in annihilation taking into account radiative corrections is calculated. According to our estimates 886 atoms may be produced at BEPCII and 29 atoms are produced at VEPP-4M under the present experimental conditions.
