A.M.Badalian, A.V.Nefediev, Yu.A.Simonov (ITEP, Moscow)

TL;DR
This paper derives the vacuum gluonic correlation length from lattice data on spin-dependent potentials in heavy quarkonia, finding it to be extremely small, less than 0.1 femtometers.
Contribution
It provides the first extraction of the gluonic correlation length from lattice QCD data on spin-dependent potentials, indicating a very short correlation length.
Findings
Gluonic correlation length is less than 0.1 fm.
Lattice data on spin-dependent potentials are consistent with small correlation lengths.
Supports models with short-range gluonic correlations.
Abstract
The vacuum gluonic correlation length is extracted from recent lattice data on spin-dependent interquark potentials in heavy quarkonia. It is shown that the data are consistent with extremely small values of the correlation length, Tg<0.1 fm.
