Magnetic vortices for a Ginzburg-Landau type energy with discontinuous constraint. II
Hassen Aydi, Ayman Kachmar

TL;DR
This paper investigates vortex formation in a Ginzburg-Landau energy model with a discontinuous constraint, focusing on how applied magnetic fields influence vortex nucleation and the resulting vorticities.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of vortex nucleation and vorticity limits in a Ginzburg-Landau model with discontinuous constraints, extending understanding of vortex behavior under specific magnetic conditions.
Findings
Determines limiting vorticities for vortex nucleation.
Analyzes vortex behavior at magnetic fields near the first critical field.
Provides insights into vortex patterns in constrained Ginzburg-Landau energies.
Abstract
We study vortex nucleation for minimizers of a Ginzburg-Landau energy with discontinuous constraint. For applied magnetic fields comparable with the first critical field of vortex nucleation, we determine the limiting vorticities.
