Search for events with an isolated lepton and missing transverse momentum and a measurement of W production at HERA
ZEUS Collaboration

TL;DR
This paper reports a search for events with isolated leptons and missing transverse momentum at HERA, measuring W boson production cross section, and finds results consistent with the Standard Model.
Contribution
First measurement of W boson production cross section in electron-proton collisions at HERA with detailed event selection.
Findings
Measured W production cross section: 0.89 pb
Results agree with Standard Model predictions
Analyzed 504 pb^{-1} of data
Abstract
A search for events with an isolated high-energy lepton and large missing transverse momentum has been performed with the ZEUS detector at HERA using a total integrated luminosity of 504 . The results agree well with Standard Model predictions. The cross section for production of single bosons in electron-proton collisions with unpolarised electrons is measured to be (stat.) (syst.) pb.
