Pion LINAC as an Energy-Tagged Neutrino Source
T. Goldman, Richard R. Silbar

TL;DR
This paper analytically calculates the energy spectrum and flux of neutrinos produced by a linear pion accelerator, highlighting how timing and event position can determine neutrino energy in detectors.
Contribution
It introduces an analytical model for neutrino spectra from a linear pion accelerator and discusses energy determination methods.
Findings
Analytical expressions for neutrino energy spectrum and flux.
Neutrino energy can be inferred from timing and position data.
Potential for precise neutrino energy measurements.
Abstract
The energy spectrum and flux of neutrinos from a linear pion accelerator are calculated analytically under the assumption of a uniform accelerating gradient. The energy of a neutrino from this source reacting in a detector can be determined from timing and event position information.
