A Less Conservative Circle Criterion
Donatello Materassi, Murti Salapaka, Michele Basso

TL;DR
This paper introduces a less conservative version of the Circle Criterion for Lur'e systems, enabling broader stability guarantees and proof of global boundedness of solutions.
Contribution
It presents a weaker form of the Circle Criterion that extends stability analysis to a larger class of nonlinearities in Lur'e systems.
Findings
Proves global boundedness of all system solutions.
Enlarges the set of nonlinearities guaranteeing stability.
Provides a less conservative stability criterion.
Abstract
A weak form of the Circle Criterion for Lur'e systems is stated. The result allows prove global boundedness of all system solutions. Moreover such a result can be employed to enlarge the set of nonlinearities for which the standard Circle Criterion can guarantee absolute stability.
