Cryptanalysis of a new chaotic cryptosystem based on ergodicity
David Arroyo, Gonzalo Alvarez, Shujun Li, Chengqing Li, Veronica, Fernandez

TL;DR
This paper critically examines a new chaotic cryptosystem, revealing vulnerabilities through chosen-ciphertext attacks and exposing design weaknesses related to its ergodic properties.
Contribution
It provides the first cryptanalysis of a recent ergodic chaos-based cryptosystem, highlighting security flaws and attack strategies.
Findings
Secret key can be obtained via chosen-ciphertext attack
Design weaknesses compromise cryptosystem security
Ergodicity-based design does not guarantee security
Abstract
This paper analyzes the security of a recent cryptosystem based on the ergodicity property of chaotic maps. It is shown how to obtain the secret key using a chosen-ciphertext attack. Some other design weaknesses are also shown.
