TL;DR
This paper explores baryons within holographic QCD using a D4/D8/ brane system, modeling baryons as chiral solitons in an effective meson theory derived from string theory.
Contribution
It is the first study to analyze baryons in holographic QCD with this specific multi-brane configuration, connecting string theory models to hadron physics.
Findings
Baryons are modeled as chiral solitons in the holographic framework.
Provides a review linking holographic models to QCD phenomenology.
Establishes a new approach to study baryons using string theory techniques.
Abstract
We perform the first study of baryons in holographic QCD with multi- brane system in type IIA superstring theory. The baryon is described as a chiral soliton solution in the four-dimensional meson effective action derived from holographic QCD. We also present a brief review of the holographic model from the viewpoints of recent hadron physics and QCD phenomenologies.
