Ximing Chen, Jie Liu, Yungui Gong

TL;DR
This paper investigates how the weak gravity conjecture constrains dark energy models, finding that observational data combined with theoretical principles restrict the equation of state parameter and challenge certain holographic models.
Contribution
It applies the weak gravity conjecture to dark energy models and combines it with observational data to derive new constraints on model parameters.
Findings
Dark energy equation of state parameter w < -0.7 at 3σ confidence
Holographic dark energy model with scalar field is in the swampland
Constraints tighten the viability of certain dark energy models
Abstract
We study the constraints on the dark energy model with constant equation of state parameter and the holographic dark energy model by using the weak gravity conjecture. The combination of weak gravity conjecture and the observational data gives at the confidence level. The holographic dark energy model realized by a scalar field is in swampland.
