Direct photon-charged hadron azimuthal correlations
Ahmed M. Hamed

TL;DR
This paper reports the first measurements of direct photon-charged hadron azimuthal correlations in gold-gold and proton-proton collisions at RHIC, providing insights into jet quenching and medium effects in heavy-ion collisions.
Contribution
It presents the first RHIC measurements of gamma-hadron azimuthal correlations in Au+Au collisions, expanding understanding of parton energy loss in quark-gluon plasma.
Findings
First measurement of gamma-hadron correlations at RHIC.
Data covers a broad range of collision centralities.
Results contribute to understanding jet quenching effects.
Abstract
Azimuthal correlations of direct photons at high transverse energy (8 E 16 GeV) with away-side hadrons of transverse momentum (3 p 6 GeV/c) have been measured over a broad range of centrality for collisions and collisions at = 200 GeV. The presented results are the first measurements at RHIC for -hadron azimuthal correlations in collisions.
