Mach's Principle: Exact Frame-Dragging by Energy Currents in the Universe
Christoph Schmid (ETH Zurich)

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that Mach's principle, which relates local inertial frame dragging to cosmic energy currents, holds exactly for all linear perturbations in Friedmann-Robertson-Walker universes across all matter types.
Contribution
It provides a rigorous proof that Mach's principle is exactly valid for linear perturbations in all FRW universes, regardless of matter composition.
Findings
Exact frame-dragging by energy currents in all linear FRW perturbations
Universal applicability across all matter types
Supports Mach's principle as a fundamental aspect of cosmology
Abstract
We show that the dragging of axis directions of local inertial frames by a weighted average of the energy currents in the universe (Mach's principle) is exact for all linear perturbations of all Friedmann-Robertson-Walker universes and for all types of matter.
