M. A. Betemps, V. P. Goncalves

TL;DR
This paper compares two phenomenological models based on the Color Glass Condensate formalism to analyze hadron and photon production at forward rapidities in $pp$ and $pA$ collisions, providing predictions for nuclear modification factors and photon-to-pion ratios at RHIC and LHC.
Contribution
It introduces a comparative analysis of two models for forward particle production and offers predictions for photon production and nuclear modification factors at high energies.
Findings
Transverse momentum dependence of $R_{hA}$ can discriminate models.
Predicted $R_{hA}$ for photons at RHIC and LHC energies.
Studied $p_T$ dependence of photon to pion ratio.
Abstract
In this paper we investigate the hadron and photon production at forward rapidities in and collisions considering two phenomenological models based on the Color Glass Condensate formalism. The predictions of these models for the hadron spectra are compared with the dAu and pp RHIC data and the nuclear modification factor is estimated. Our results demonstrate that the analysis of the transverse momentum dependence of this factor allows to discriminate between the phenomenological models. Furthermore, we predict for photon production at forward rapidities at RHIC and LHC energies and study the dependence of the photon to pion production ratio.
