C. Valencia, D.E. Jaramillo

TL;DR
This paper reviews and introduces a new method for calculating the Landau-Zener survival probability of neutrinos passing through variable matter density, impacting supernova neutrino flux interpretation.
Contribution
It presents a novel calculation method for level-crossing probability that differs from traditional Landau's approach by a constant factor.
Findings
New calculation method for neutrino survival probability.
Difference from Landau's method by a constant factor.
Implications for supernova neutrino flux analysis.
Abstract
We examine the survival probability for neutrino propagation through matter with variable density. We present a new method to calculate the level-crossing probability that differs from Landau's method by constant factor, which is relevant in the interpretation of neutrino flux from supernova explosion.
