Quantum induced w = -1 crossing of the quintessence and phantom models
M. Alimohammadi, L. Sadeghian

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that quantum effects, modeled through conformal anomaly, can cause dark energy models to cross the w = -1 line, a phenomenon not possible classically.
Contribution
It reveals that quantum effects enable the crossing of the w = -1 line in single scalar field dark energy models, which was previously thought impossible.
Findings
Quantum effects induce w = -1 crossing in dark energy models.
Classical models do not exhibit this crossing.
Conformal anomaly accounts for the quantum effects.
Abstract
Considering the single scalar field models of dark energy, i.e. the quintessence and phantom models, it is shown that the quantum effects can cause the system crosses the w = -1 line. This phenomenon does not occur in classical level. The quantum effects are described via the account of conformal anomaly.
