Superantenna made of transformation media
Ulf Leonhardt, Tomas Tyc

TL;DR
This paper introduces a superantenna design using transformation media that can be invisible or focus light into a narrow beam by applying conformal maps to a 3D space representation.
Contribution
It presents a novel superantenna concept utilizing transformation media and conformal mapping, enabling controllable invisibility and beam focusing.
Findings
Superantenna can be invisible or focus light sharply.
Transformation media enable precise control of light paths.
The method offers new possibilities for optical device design.
Abstract
We show how transformation media can make a superantenna that is either completely invisible or focuses incoming light into a needle-sharp beam. Our idea is based on representating three-dimensional space as a foliage of sheets and performing two-dimensional conformal maps on each sheet
