This paper critically examines the practical holographic models of QCD, highlighting theoretical and phenomenological challenges faced when treating the five-dimensional theory classically.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive analysis of the limitations and difficulties in current holographic QCD models, emphasizing areas needing further research.
Findings
Identification of key theoretical challenges
Discussion of phenomenological limitations
Highlighting the need for improved holographic approaches
Abstract
This paper, written in memory of Manoj Banerjee, takes a critical look at holographic models of QCD focusing on ``practical'' models in which the five dimensional theory is treated classically. A number of theoretical and phenomenological challenges to the approach are discussed.
