TL;DR
This paper analyzes charmless two-body B meson decays into vector and pseudoscalar mesons using SCET, identifying two solutions for non-perturbative inputs and highlighting the role of penguin contributions in CP asymmetries.
Contribution
It provides a detailed SCET-based analysis of B to VP decays, revealing two solutions for non-perturbative parameters and clarifying the impact of penguin diagrams on CP violation.
Findings
Two solutions found for non-perturbative inputs in B to VP decays.
Chirally enhanced penguins have limited impact on charming penguins.
Penguin topologies significantly influence direct CP asymmetries.
Abstract
We analyze the charmless two-body decays in the soft-collinear-effective-theory (SCET), where denotes a light vector (pseudoscalar) meson. Using the current experimental data, we find two solutions in fit for the 16 non-perturbative inputs responsible for the 87 and decay channels in SU(3) symmetry. Chirally enhanced penguins can only change several charming penguins sizably, since they share the same topology. The (S-P)(S+P) annihilation penguins in the perturbative QCD approach have the same topology with charming penguins in SCET, which play an important role in direct CP asymmetries.
