On the inadequacy of the logistic map for cryptographic applications
David Arroyo, Gonzalo Alvarez, Veronica Fernandez

TL;DR
This paper critically examines the logistic map's properties and demonstrates its unsuitability for cryptographic systems due to inherent limitations.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of the logistic map's characteristics, highlighting why it is inadequate for secure cryptographic applications.
Findings
Logistic map exhibits predictable patterns undermining security
Inherent limitations make it unsuitable for cryptography
Analysis discourages further use of logistic map in cryptosystems
Abstract
This paper analyzes the use of the logistic map for cryptographic applications. The most important characteristics of the logistic map are shown in order to prove the inconvenience of considering this map in the design of new chaotic cryptosystems.
