Phase diagram and pion modes of the neutral Nambu-Jona Lasinio model with the Polyakov loop
M. Ruggieri

TL;DR
This paper explores the phase diagram and pion modes in a two-flavor Nambu-Jona Lasinio model with the Polyakov loop, emphasizing the effects of electrical neutrality and physical quark masses.
Contribution
It provides new insights into the phase structure and pion behavior in the model considering electrical neutrality and realistic quark masses.
Findings
No pion condensation observed with physical light quark masses.
Phase diagram mapped in the μ-T plane under neutrality constraints.
Highlights the impact of the Polyakov loop on the model's phase structure.
Abstract
I discuss recent results obtained by our group within the Nambu-Jona Lasinio model with the Polyakov loop. I focus on the two flavor version of the model, discussing the phase diagram in the plane in the case in which electrical neutrality is required. One of the results is that pion condensation is not observed in our model when a physical mass for the light quarks is considered.
