TL;DR
This paper introduces a novel dbar-based method to derive sharp long-time asymptotics for solutions of the defocusing NLS equation, requiring minimal initial data regularity.
Contribution
It develops a new analytical approach using dbar techniques to improve asymptotic analysis of the NLS equation under minimal regularity conditions.
Findings
Established sharp asymptotics for defocusing NLS solutions
Reduced regularity assumptions needed for asymptotic analysis
Demonstrated effectiveness of dbar methods in nonlinear PDEs
Abstract
We present a new method for obtaining sharp asymptotics of solutions of the defocussing nonlinear Schr\"odinger (NLS) equation, based on dbar methods and under essentially minimal regularity assumptions on initial data.
