TL;DR
This paper explores how jet and shower parton broadening caused by strong colour fields can produce ridge-like structures in high transverse momentum particle correlations, highlighting the effects of anisotropic momentum broadening.
Contribution
It introduces a model where anisotropic momentum broadening leads to ridge structures in particle correlations, providing insights into the origin of such features in high-energy collisions.
Findings
Ridge-like structures emerge with anisotropic momentum broadening.
The model overestimates the ratio of peak to pedestal yields.
Jet broadening influences two-hadron correlation patterns.
Abstract
We investigate the role of jet and shower parton broadening by the strong colour field in the - correlation of high particles. When anisotropic momentum broadening () is given to jet and shower partons in the initial stage, a ridge-like structure is found to appear in the two hadron correlation. The ratio of the peak to the pedestal yield is overestimated.
