Yifei Zhang

TL;DR
This paper analyzes the contributions of charm and bottom quarks to non-photonic electron spectra and elliptic flow at RHIC, providing insights into heavy flavor production and behavior in high-energy collisions.
Contribution
It offers the first detailed estimation of bottom contribution to electron spectra and charm v2 at RHIC energies using PYTHIA and experimental data.
Findings
Bottom contribution is not dominant below 3 GeV/c
Crossing point of charm and bottom spectra is above 7 GeV/c
Upper limit of bottom cross section ratio is 0.49%
Abstract
We present a study on the spectra for heavy flavor (charm and bottom) decayed electrons in 200 GeV collisions and provide the relative contributions of charm and bottom hadrons from the PYTHIA calculations. The results suggest that the crossing point of the electron spectra from charm and bottom decays is above 7 GeV/ and bottom contribution is not dominant for electron GeV/. The upper limit of the relative cross section ratio is reported as . We also compare the distribution from simulation to the experimental data in 200 GeV collisions and estimate the possible charm .
