Pedro Cruz, Evgeny Lakshtanov

TL;DR
This paper derives upper bounds for the total cross section and absorbed power in scalar wave scattering by smooth obstacles with impedance boundary conditions, providing theoretical limits for such scattering phenomena.
Contribution
It introduces new upper bounds for total cross section and absorbed power in obstacle scattering with impedance boundary conditions.
Findings
Upper bounds established for total cross section
Upper bounds established for absorbed power
Results applicable to smooth obstacles with impedance boundaries
Abstract
The scalar scattering of a plane wave by a smooth obstacle with impedance boundary conditions is considered. Upper bounds for the Total Cross Section and for the absorbed power are presented.
