Normalizing inclusive rare B decays
Paolo Gambino, Paolo Giordano

TL;DR
This paper refines the normalization factor for inclusive rare B decays, specifically B->X_s gamma, using updated non-perturbative parameters, leading to a slight increase in the predicted branching ratio.
Contribution
It provides a more accurate normalization factor for B->X_s gamma decays by incorporating recent determinations of non-perturbative parameters in the Operator Product Expansion.
Findings
Normalization factor for B->X_s gamma increased by a few percent.
Updated parameters lead to more precise predictions of rare B decay rates.
Enhancement affects theoretical estimates of rare B decay branching ratios.
Abstract
The inclusive semileptonic branching ratio is often employed to normalize other inclusive B decays. Using recent determinations of the non-perturbative parameters of the Operator Product Expansion we compute the normalization factor for the branching ratio of B->X_s gamma and find a few percent enhancement with respect to previous determinations.
