M.T. Fernandez-Carames, P. Gonzalez, A. Valcarce

TL;DR
This paper derives meson-baryon-baryon coupling constants from a chiral quark potential model, incorporating SU(2) and SU(3) symmetries, and uses QCD sum rules and phenomenology to determine form factors.
Contribution
It extends a chiral quark potential model to SU(3) symmetry to calculate $ ext{π} B_{8} B_{8}$ and $ ext{σ} B_{8} B_{8}$ couplings, integrating QCD sum rules and phenomenology.
Findings
Derived $ ext{π} B_{8} B_{8}$ and $ ext{σ} B_{8} B_{8}$ couplings from a chiral quark model.
Generalized the model to SU(3) symmetry for broader coupling calculations.
Provided a framework to extract meson-baryon-baryon form factors.
Abstract
From an SU(2)SU(2) chiral quark potential model incorporating spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking the asymptotic and exchange pieces of the potential are generated. From them the and coupling constants can be extracted. The generalization to SU(3)SU(3) allows for a determination of and coupling constants according to exact SU(3) hadron symmetry. The implementation of the values of the couplings at provided by QCD sum rules and/or phenomenology makes also feasible the extraction of the meson-baryon-baryon form factors. In this manner a quite complete knowledge of the couplings may be attained.
