The quantum systems control and the optimal control theory
V. F. Krotov

TL;DR
This paper explores the application of optimal control theory to quantum systems, addressing existing limitations and expanding the methods for controlling quantum phenomena.
Contribution
It develops the mathematical framework for quantum control based on optimal control theory, improving control synthesis algorithms and broadening their application scope.
Findings
Enhanced control algorithms for quantum systems
Addressed deficiencies in existing control basis
Expanded applicability of control methods to quantum systems
Abstract
Mathematical theory of the quantum systems control is based on some ideas of the optimal control theory. These ideas are developed here as applied to these systems. The results obtained meet the deficiencies in the basis and algorithms of the control synthesis and expand the application of these methods.
