Shear viscosity of CFT plasma at finite coupling
Alex Buchel

TL;DR
This paper investigates the universal behavior of shear viscosity in conformal gauge theory plasmas at finite coupling, highlighting the challenges in computing it within effective models of gauge/gravity duality.
Contribution
It provides evidence for shear viscosity universality beyond infinite coupling and discusses computational subtleties in effective gauge/gravity models.
Findings
Shear viscosity shows universal features at finite coupling.
Computational subtleties affect shear viscosity calculations.
Highlights limitations of effective models compared to string theory.
Abstract
We present evidence for the universality of the shear viscosity of conformal gauge theory plasmas beyond infinite coupling. We comment of subtleties of computing the shear viscosity in effective models of gauge/gravity correspondence rather than in string theory.
