TL;DR
This paper demonstrates how a thermal emission model in the fireshell's co-moving frame can explain the non-thermal spectrum observed in GRB 031203, providing a theoretical interpretation of its luminosity and spectral features.
Contribution
It introduces a theoretical framework linking thermal co-moving emission to observed non-thermal spectra in GRBs, specifically applied to GRB 031203.
Findings
Thermal emission in the co-moving frame can reproduce observed non-thermal spectra.
Application to GRB 031203 supports the model's validity.
Provides a theoretical basis for interpreting GRB spectral properties.
Abstract
We show how an emission endowed with an instantaneous thermal spectrum in the co-moving frame of the expanding fireshell can reproduce the time-integrated GRB observed non-thermal spectrum. An explicit example in the case of GRB 031203 is presented.
