On Debye temperature anomaly observed in Ge-Se-Ag glasses
Ashok Razdan

TL;DR
This paper investigates the anomalous Debye temperature in Ge-Se-Ag glasses, attributing it to anharmonic potential effects at high spin ferrous sites using Lamb Mossbauer factor analysis.
Contribution
It introduces a method to analyze anharmonicity in glasses through Lamb Mossbauer factors, linking anomalies to local potential effects.
Findings
Anomalous Debye temperatures are linked to anharmonic potentials.
Lamb Mossbauer factors reveal anharmonicity at ferrous sites.
The study provides a new perspective on glass vibrational properties.
Abstract
Anomalous Values of Debye temperature have been obtained from Lamb Mossbauer factor measurements of Ge-Se-Ag glasses. We show that this anomaly may arise due to the presence of anharmonic potential at the high spin ferrous site. In this paper, we use q Lamb Mossbauer factor and anharmonic Lamb Mossbauer factor to study this anharmoncity.
