On a redundancy in the parity-violating 2-nucleon contact Lagrangian
Luca Girlanda

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that the number of independent operators in the leading-order parity-violating 2-nucleon contact Lagrangian can be reduced to five using Fierz rearrangements, simplifying the theoretical framework.
Contribution
It identifies a redundancy in the parity-violating 2-nucleon contact Lagrangian and reduces the independent operators to five, clarifying the theoretical structure.
Findings
Number of independent operators reduced to five
Fierz rearrangements used to identify redundancies
Simplification of the parity-violating contact Lagrangian
Abstract
It is shown that the number of independent operators in the nucleon-nucleon parity-violating contact Lagrangian at the leading order in the low-momentum expansion, can be reduced to five, by using Fierz rearrangements of the nucleon fields.
