Mimicking the QCD equation of state with a dual black hole
Steven S. Gubser, Abhinav Nellore

TL;DR
This paper develops a dual gravity model to replicate the QCD equation of state using black hole solutions, providing insights into strongly coupled gauge theories through holography.
Contribution
It introduces a novel black hole solution that accurately mimics the QCD equation of state at zero chemical potential.
Findings
Black hole solutions closely match QCD thermodynamics
Analytical and numerical methods validate the model
Provides a new holographic approach to QCD
Abstract
We present numerical and analytical studies of the equation of state of translationally invariant black hole solutions to five-dimensional gravity coupled to a single scalar. As an application, we construct a family of black holes that closely mimics the equation of state of quantum chromodynamics at zero chemical potential.
